Role: Director, Art Director
Intent and process: Total came to us wanting to transform Total into a psychedelic experience. They wanted to harken back to the 60's when Total was first introduced to the world. One of the main challenges was to make an animation that was fun and inviting to watch. (We got to do a little of everything with this project.) We filmed liquid oil lamps to get the psychedelic tunnel at the beginning of the spot. We worked with 3D animators, processing programmers, and and amazing 2D staff that composited all the elements seamlessly together. Gotta give a big shout out to a very talented design Christian De Castro—without him this spot could not have been done.
