Target/Prince "Dreamer"
Intent / Process:
The intent of the project was to promote the release of Prince's new album in Target stores. The major challenge was to balance the fusion of 2 major brands. Prince's new album is called Lotus Flower, which had a psychedelic, mysterious, and celestial vibe. Target's brand is about red+white and extremely graphic. After listening to the album, I keyed in on the word "celestial" as the word that the project should be built upon. The direction I chose go explore was to show Prince command the planets and stars with his epic guitar playing. His guitar strings stretch across this universe to make the stars align to form the Lotus stage where Prince plays his final number.
